Gloria Ann (Dennis) Hudson

Gloria Ann Hudson, 85, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM est at Colonial Funeral Home  with Rev. David Dollar officiating. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hudson was born August 17, 1934 in Georgia to James Luther Dennis and Kate Ginn Dennis, she was a homemaker, enjoyed watching religious programs and cooking shows on television, talking on the telephone, reading, watching movies and cooking. She will be greatly missed and was very much loved by her family, but comforted knowing that she will spend eternity in a much better place. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jewel Elwood Hudson, a daughter, Wanda Nadine Hudson, 6 sisters, and a brother.

Surviving are her daughters, Jewel Colwell and husband Tommy, and Lisa Faircloth and husband Ed, a son, Donald Ray Hudson, a sister, Veronica McQuinn, a brother, Sonny Dennis, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
