George Payne Scarbrough, Jr.

George Payne Scarbrough Jr, 49, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on November 4, 2018 after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.

George was a welder by trade who worked 11 years with Reaves Wrecking. He was most recently employed by 280 Trailers. George enjoyed fishing with his son, Brandon, Auburn football, UFC, and grilling with his four-legged buddy, Cooper.

He is preceded in death by his father, George P. Scarbrough Sr, brother, Bernard Allen, sister, Renee Scarbrough and his great-niece, Jada Lynn Smalls, as well as his grandparents.

Surviving family are his sons - Brandon Scarbrough and Shean Wohrman - three grandchildren, Nash, Nicolette & Rosaleigh - his mother, Linda Scarbrough, and sisters - Wyvonne Creech, Gloria Smith and Linda Smalls.

Beloved friends are his girlfriend, Jennifer Miller, her sons - Kevin Jon Miller and Judson Miller – dear friend and mother of his son, Brandon, Angie Yates and his lifelong best friends Carlie and Tammy Collins.

A memorial service will be held at the Phenix City Church of Christ at 3746 US Hwy 80W in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 6pm eastern time.
