David C. Barfield

David C. Barfield, 71, of Salem, Alabama passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00am ET at River of Life Church in Hamilton, Georgia with a reception to follow at the Church.

Mr. Barfield was born May 16, 1948 in Columbus, Georgia to John T. Barfield and Mara E. Taylor Barfield. He served in the United States Army, was a machinist at Pratt-Whitney and P.C.I. He loved trains was a member of Canton St. Paul Train Club as well as many other train clubs, Alabama football and The Atlanta Braves.He coached little league baseball in Columbus, Georgia for many years. Mr. Barfield enjoyed traveling, watching rodeo, music and was a veteran supporter. 

He is survived by his wife Brenda Robinson Barfield, a daughter Niki Barefield (Rodney), a son, Richard Paul Barfield (Caroline), a brother Terry Gillen and grandchildren, Zach Hudson, Richard Barfield II, Abby Grace Hudson and John David Barfield.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Michael T. Barfield and Steve Barfield.
