Kim Chin Stewart, 74, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM E.T. at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart was born October 8, 1949 in Seoul, Korea. She met her husband, William Stewart in Korea in 1972 while he was stationed there with the United States Army. In 1973, they married and moved to the United States. They spent the next 20 years traveling with the military, including being stationed in Korea twice, Okinawa, Japan, and Germany, along with several bases in the United States. Mrs. Stewart was a wonderful cook and homemaker throughout her life. She was known for her loyalty to friends and the Korean community, being selfless and always taking care of others.
Surviving are her loving husband, William Stanley Stewart; one son, James Stewart; three grandchildren, Blake Stewart, Kaylyn Stewart, and Elijah Stewart; and a younger brother and sister residing in Seoul, Korea.
