Danny Howard Childers

Danny Howard Childers, 69, of Phenix City, AL passed away on March 28, 2024 in Columbus, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 1st, 2024 at 11:00 AM E.T. at Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor DeWayne Dean officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Colonial Funeral Home. 

Mr. Childers was born on June 12, 1954 to James Childers and Patty Vinyard Childers in Rome, Georgia. He was a member of Unity Baptist Fellowship Church in Phenix City, Alabama.  He worked in the construction industry as a carpenter for Pound Construction. Mr. Childers was a great father and loving man; he lived life by the bible and impacted many people. 

He is preceded in death by his spouse Donna Childers; his parents, James and Patty Vinyard Childers; and one brother, Wayne Childers.

He is survived by seven children, Angel Childers, Justus Affleck, Brittney Jones, Jennifer Childers, Sonja Cumbie (Joey), Tiffany Cody, and Raiden Cowan; three grandchildren Chloey Jones, Sydney Jones and Dakota Jones; two siblings, Patricia Wilkins and Charlie Childers; niece Patricia Affleck; great-nieces and nephews Jacob Affleck, Christina Affleck and Destiny Affleck.
