Rita Faye McCall Griggs, 58, of Salem, Alabama passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM EST at Crawford Road Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Minton and Rev. Glenn McCall officiating. The family will receive friends and family at the church from 12:00 pm until the service commences at 2:00 pm.
Faye was born September 10, 1959 at Cobb Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, Alabama to the late William Gerald McCall and Geraldine Hanson McCall. She was a 1978 graduate of Smiths Station High School, member of Crawford Road Baptist Church, retired from Lee County School System, loved butterflies and the color purple.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Edward Griggs, a daughter, Christy Lynn Griggs Kaltreider and husband Tim of Salem, Alabama, 2 grandchildren, Kayla Jade Kaltreider,and Payton Michael Kaltreider, 3 sisters, Susan Elizabeth McCall McCoy and husband John of Crawford, Alabama, Janice Louise McCall of Smiths Station, Alabama, and Karen Denise McCall Williams and husband, David of Libby, Montana, a brother, Arther Glen McCall and wife Cynthia of Lawrenceville, Georgia, several nieces and nephews.
