Phenix City, AL- Mr. Larry Gene Bell, 71, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Kindred Hospice in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 2:00 pm EDST at Colonial Funeral Home’s Chapel, Phenix City, Alabama.The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at funeral home. Mr. Bell was born February 2, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Hershel G. and Jean Cook Bell. Mr. Bell graduated from Central High School, Phenix City, Alabama in 1964. He retired from LithoKromeHallmark where his career spanned over 20 years. A member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, his passions included golfing with the “Dixie Seniors”, fishing, computer & electronics, and singing. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents and a Brother Wayne Bell. He is survived by a Daughter Tara Bell Black (Mike) of Dothan, AL, a son Ashley Lawrence Bell of Phenix City, AL, a Brother Gary Bell (Jane Davidson) from Westerville, Ohio. Included are 3 Grandchildren, Brach Bessant, Colby Black, and Brody Black. 2 GreatGrandchildren, Luke & Landon Bessant. Among his beloved survivors are a Sister-in-Law Joy Bell of Phenix City, AL, and a lifelong friend Debbie Dollar of Eufaula, AL.
