Jimmy Lee Earnest, 57, of Columbus, Georgia passed away at his home Sunday, March 11, 2018.

A private service will be held.

Jimmy was born in Columbus, Georgia on January 11, 1961 to Ralph Thomas Earnest, Sr. and the late Mary Helen Fuller. He was a Columbus High School graduate, was employed with PCI-Pratt Whitney until becoming unable to work due to his health, enjoyed golfing, family time with kids, and all sports. He will be remembered as a generous man with a big heart that everyone loved. He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandmother Mandy "Granny" Chappell.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Kim Henderson Earnest, father, Ralph Earnest and wife Barbara, brother, Thomas Earnest, 2 daughters, Jennifer Earnest and Abby Earnest, 4 grandchildren, Landan Rose, Tatum Rose, RyanDodson, and Phoenix Dodson, niece, Whitney Sackelford and husband, Jason, and "Big Ryan" Earnest.
