James Ernest Hobbs, 62, of Lanett, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at East Alabama Medical Center.

The family is planning a celebration of life party to be announced soon.

James was born May 4, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late James Graham Hobbs and Barbara Pope Hobbs. He was a truck driver for Wal Mart and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Surviving other than his mother are 2 sons, Jeremy Hobbs and wife, Erin of Jackson, Georgia, and Kyle Hobbs of Lexington, Kentucky, 2 grand daughters, Braelinn Hobbs and Allie Hobbs, a sister, Marlene Henderson, and 2 brothers, Dwayne Hobbs and Kenny Hobbs.
