Darrell Frenzel Sr.

Darrell Lee Frenzel Sr., of Phenix City, AL formerly of Frostburg, MD passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the age of 69.

Darrell was born to parents Wanda Richardson and Courtney Frenzel I on January 2, 1949 in Allegany county, MD. He attended Beall High School in Frostburg MD upon graduating he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he made the rank of sergeant, served in the Vietnam conflict,and was honorably discharged.

Darrell married Dixie Lee Butler on june 11, 1976, and the couple had three children. Darrell was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. 

Darrell is survived by his two sons Darrell Jr. and Bobby Frenzel, and one daughter LeeAnn Hawkins, three brothers Jayme Johnson, Louis Johnson, Courtney Frenzel II, and two sisters Rhodia Nash, and Deanna Beeman. He is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years Dixie.

Darrell was cremated and will join his wife Dixie at Rocky Gap Veterans cemetery a grave side service will be held for family and friends on April 6, 2018 at 2 PM.

The family has requested their friends and family members to refrain from sending flowers. Those desiring to honor Darrell's memory may do so by making contributions toward his funeral expenses.
